Nickspot: Visit to Westport

Ok.. I'm a Logistic student.. Currently doing my degree.. And After hearing my lecturers talk about ports.. Wanted to go see one.. What do ya know.. I got my chance.. We got a chance to visit Westport!!

Westport is part of Port Klang.. We are currently rated 16th best port in the world.. We also hold the record and still holding it for the fastest unloading of boxes( I think the boxes they mean containers) and we are having the cheapest tariff worldwide.. Wow.. A Malaysian port ranked so well in the world!

Well, paid RM17 to go to Westport.. Was fun.. The lecturer forced us to dress formal, which I really hate.. I was thinking of this big, busy port.. But, like typical Malaysian sports team.. They always disappoint.. Wasn't busy at all.. The whole place seems lethargic.. No activities at all.. We had an awesome view of the port from the 16th floor of the tower/building/or whatever it is.. We saw rows of cranes waiting at the port.. With no ships.. Wow..

Ok.. Done with the down part of the trip.. The happy thing was when we arrived.. We're greeted by a beautiful garden in front of the tower/building/whatever it is.. A rock garden, and a Japanese garden.. Westport's concept.. A garden port.. The one and only in the world.. Its absolutely beautiful.. Gives the workers and the sailors a place to relax their minds.. Then we got a tour to the port itself.. Finally saw the containers stacks up close.. Whoa.. Looks like builing blocks though.. We did get to see some ships unloading.. Not too impressive..

We then ate lunch.. Then its back to the uni.. Boring.. Not worth the money.. But oh well, that's life.. Win some lose some..
