A Very Weird Day??

Woke up, with mum telling me her friend who she have not met for 20 years finally can meet up with her..

Then mum went out while I drove to the city to reclaim my C905 which have been hospitalized for close 10 days.. Parked at Fortuna Hotel, which is near church then walked to Lowyat.. When I reached the shop.. The cacat people working there was blur enough to asked me when did I send this phone for repair.. Apparently lack of communication among the workers.. I was then asked to wait for 20 minutes while they go claim the phone back for me.. Went to Starbucks to have a cup of Caramel Macchiato.. Received a call from the shop saying they need my warranty card to claim the phone, so fine I walked all the way back up, gave it to them and was told to wait for 30 minutes.. Walked to Borders in Time Square a.k.a. LaLa Land 2 to burn time.. Those #$%^&*&^%$%^&*&^%$%^&*^%^&^% idiots told me that now then they start fixing the phone because they need the warranty card to start fixing it.. After 10 bloody days then they tell me.. ==

Then walked back to Fortuna Hotel.. To prove how noob I am at driving.. While reversing I scratched a car beside me.. At the end, the person in charge of the parking space help me reverse out.. Condolences to the guy who parked besides me.. xD

Tough Week

The week have not been to kind to me.. Patience tested to the very limits.. Mosquitoes having the time of their lives making their bloody mark all over my legs.. EVERYDAY!!!

It's just a sad sad week.. Although they were some nice people who did bring a smile to my face.. xD

However, I realised that people around me are frowning more than smiling.. T^T

Trying to control my anger and be patient with everything is thrown at me.. God gave me a hell lot more for what I bargained for.. 3 incidents made me so pissed I really nearly lost myself.. (Something like the Black Rage of the Blood Angels[note picture below].. but not as bad.. xD) However, I thank God for it.. No changes are easy.. And everything comes at a price.. As pure fire will bring out the true gem from an ore..

Adore '09 - A Generation of Hope

Hope, as defined in Reader’s Digest Great Dictionary, is a feeling of expectation and desire (noun) or want something to happen or be the case (verb).

So what is hope to you? What is your hope? What is my hope? Well, to be honest, I would hope for 10million Ringgit dropping from heaven with God saying, ‘Nic, here.’ Some of you may be laughing and saying DREAM ON DUDE!! Well, a guy can hope can he?? xD

In dire situations, people lose hope easily. At this point, these people would first succumb to depression. As their depression worsens, they will either be turned utterly insane or will just commit suicide as he/her cannot take it.

This year has not been a very good year to everyone. Starting even from last year, the front pages have been flooded with headlines about the economy crisis. As giant companies like AIG closing down and the world is thrown into panic. Recession. Jobs will be lost due to retrenchment and layoffs. People will find it hard to make ends meet. Those dreaded Ah Longs are having a field day as people start loaning money from them. And when they can’t pay off those monstrous debts, with the Ah Longs oh their tails, suicide is the most favorable choice for the victims.

Ah Longs a.k.a. Loan Sharks

War torn nations in Africa where leaders rule with an iron fist and power can only be bought by guns and blood. Africa itself is already a poor continent and these wars are creating a bloody tally which increases day by day. Those people live in fear everyday. Not even worrying about food, they have to worry about whether they will even see sunlight tomorrow. What’s worse, even children as young as 10 are conscripted to join the war!

In India, where poverty is still rampant, people in the slums would rather die from a cut wound by a rusted nail rather than to receive money to treat the wound in a clinic. The man would rather receive the embraces of the oblivion which is death than to continue on living. Working back breaking like labor for long hours under the scorching sun with a pay barely able to even fill half his stomach, the man has lost all hope. (This is a true story told by my dad who visited India on a business trip)

Enough said, this world seems to full of hopelessness. Death and massacre is seen daily in the news. Rape cases, riots, school shootings, war…

In all these gloom and chaos, is there any more hope? Many would say no. But I tell you, those who knows not our God will never understand what hope is. Jesus is ever-caring for us. Those who are lost, He will seek them and protect them. Those who fall, He will pick them up. Those who turned their backs on Him, He will wait for their return, and when they do, He will open up His arms and happily embrace them. Our Lord is like no other. What is more amazing about Him, He loves us, and nothing is impossible with Him around. People who are dead He revived, people who are in deep financial problems, He provide them with their daily needs, people who are sick and with death knocking at their doors, He healed them miraculously where medicine and science failed.

Book Review: Fulgrim (Horus Heresy Series)

This book talks about the fall of Fulgrim and his legion, Emperor's Children.. The book paints Fulgrim, the primarch of the Emperor's Children Legion as a perfectionist.. Everything abou Fulgrim is perfect.. His looks, his music-like voice, even when he fights, Fulgrim will bring awe on all those who laid eyes on him.. However, it is because of this pride of his perfection that brings him to the side of Chaos..

This story also shows the brotherhood Fulgrim shares with the primarch of the Iron Hands, Ferrus Manus.. Graham McNeil has done a good job as you can literally feel the love between these 2 brothers as they meet up.. As Fulgrim betrays the Emperor, you can also feel the hurt and the rage boiling within Ferrus Manus..

What I love about this book is finally I can get some insights on the Horus Heresy, how the battle Isstvan V played out and I got to read about a few primarchs in battle!

What I hate is, I really hate the Emperor's Children now.. They are annoying from the start.. Perfection this, perfection that.. They are more nobles than warriors.. Extremely sadistic after being corrupted.. Too much emotions involved (they are corrupted by Slaneesh, so.. not much complaints about that)..

Rating 6/10 (my 1st book review in half a year.. so forgive me if it's a bit lousy.. xD)

Mosquitoes.. UGH!

Damm mosquitoes.. Quoted from Chong, Mufasa from Lion King mentioned about the circle of life.. Well, screw the circle of life.. IT's TIME FOR MOSQUITO GENOCIDE!!!

Mosquitoes are little blood-sucking insects that brings not much good to the world.. When it leeches off someone, the person will have an irritating sensation and after countless leeching sessions by the damned insect, you will have a lot of itchy spots which are extremely annoying.. The bane of sleep at times as these insects will have a field trip on you when you sleep..

And they also spread disease like dengue fever which this year has caused several people in Selangor to end up in the hospital..

Recently, my room has been infested with these annoying abominations.. So small and their color giving them the perfect 'cloaking ability in the dark and shadows.. According to Justin Chen, they utilized guerilla strikes, hit and run tactics..

Arm now with the Racket of Shocking Death™, I will now lead a genocide of mosquitoes in my house.. DEATH TO THE VERMINS!!

Finally chose to revive the blog.. xD Reason? Out of randomness.. If that is even considered a reason.. ahahaha!

Few updates on me.. Nic is no more a Man Utd fan.. Due to church as most of the people there are Liverpool fans (our pastors were having fun laughing at the 4-1 defeat in Old Trafford for 3 weeks!) so just to avoid 'conflicts' I decided to go neutral.. xD

Today wasn't the best of days.. Was kinda moody the entire day.. Except when I met up with an old friend of mine.. Foo Yine a.k.a. Hime who i met in Maple Story PQ 4 years back.. We never met until this year! Through the 4 years we chatted, swapped Japanese songs (mostly she give me.. xD), talk crap and even borrowed a listening ear to hear out each others' problems.. Had a reason to smile when i met her.. Then drove to Connaught to meet up with Sky and Anna K for yamcha.. Back home, had a terrible nap which drain me more than it revitalise me.. T.T

Oh ya.. Nic has his P license! I CAN DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

A BIG Thank You!!

February has been a hellish month for me.. And I'm currently depressed.. My mood is so unstable.. And when I say depressed, yes, I do mean depression, where I may have to see a psychiatrist if it gets too serious..


Problems after problems, trouble after troubles.. It kept coming.. It just swept me off.. With my faith nearly non-existence, I succumbed to depression.. I was being negative, I can't see the bright side of anything.. I only know hatred, despair, sorrow.. My smile became fake.. I no longer know what happiness is..


But then, there are people who put up with me.. And right now, I would like to say, thank you.. Without you guys supporting me, I would've been here typing this right now..


Sabrina Kuah (My Piggy Sis) - thanks for being with me all the way.. despite we had a big row a week or two ago..


Venus - I know it's been hard on you to see me like this.. But thanks for being supportive and smiling, which brightens up my mood..


Ai Lyn - For being crazy during phone calls just to cheer me up..


Andy - For being my L4D kaki to help me release steam


Chien - For being my L4D kaki and that day, listening out to my probs a bit..


Hime - For listening to my probs and going crazy with me at times about lala killing and stuff..

Trigger Happy

Recently, have been kinda addicted to Left 4 Dead.. A zombie killing game.. A game where you can seriously shoot dead a huge mob of zombies.. Best stress reliever.. Have formed quite a good partnership between Chien and Andy.. We played together constantly.. We know what to do in each situation and well, we gel together perfectly.. Since its always a 4 person team.. We either play with AI or we add another friend in..

Me and Andy managed to convince our girlfriends to play.. And what do you know.. I got mine slightly addicted.. Just came back not too long from a zombie massacre session.. The only thing I hate about the game is when my teammates are trigger happy.. I'm no exception to friendly fires.. But at times, it becomes annoying when 30% of your own HP is actually not drained by zombies but by your own teammates..

My game just now was with entirely a newbie team.. Shoots at anything they see.. Including teammates.. When a Hunter pinned me.. All of them shot the Hunter off me.. And guess what? Those trigger happy guys kept shooting.. Well.. There goes 10 HP..

My worst case was with a guy... Seriously trigger happy.. He decided that shooting humans were more fun than zombies.. Shotgun.. Splash damage.. He annoyingly denied shooting us.. Oh well, we learn by experience.. My previous tema shooter games, Nick was the guy who has the highest rate of friendly fire.. Hahahaha!

Remember to all newbies in shooter games.. SHOOT THE ENEMY!! NOT UR FRIENDS!!

18 Feb 2009 Nick's Worst Day of His Life

U know.. I never ever believed in luck.. Well, this day, was my unluckiest day..

First off, my mood isn't too good at the start of the day due to my Accounting paper.. I did not do well.. Lack of preparations.. No complaints..

Then, went to release some steam and played Left 4 Dead.. Its a shoot-the zombies game.. Idiot friend who I alias him now as NOOB! preferred to shoot teammates then zombies, his friendly fire caused us take extra damages and die.. Not only that, his trigger-happy habits got us into serious trouble and thank God to proper teamwork between me, Andy and Chien (Cc Kaki), still manage to win the game.. But with our statistics lower than usual.. My mood basically did not improve.. So did my Cc Kakis'..

Ok.. This by far is the worse.. Went shopping in Econsave with a friend.. When we came out, glass broken, bags gone.. My bag is a brand new Nike Bag, which I bought with my girlfriend as a 'couple bag' and in the bag, my Accounting textbook, my Quiksilver pencil case, calculator, pens and mechanical pencils, notes bought from the uni, and precious written notes.. Estimated loss, RM 300.. T.T Oh ya, bag wass less than week old.. 6 days old to be precise..

Then night time.. Pasar malam.. Went out with my girlfriend.. Bought 'Hai Di Ye' (undersea coconut??) to cool myself.. Having bad sore throat.. Spilled it.. For no reason..

Luck?? Not too sure.. But, seriously worse day ever.. T.T

Oh ya.. Today wasn't a good day either.. Emo-ing.. Influenced by my girlfriend.. Then went to blown some steam playing Left 4 Dead.. Was a couple game.. Me, Venus (my gf), Andy and Grace.. We kicked butt.. Then they left.. Leaving me and Chien and NOOB! More mess-ups by him and when we played DoTA.. He like really tried to be stupid.. Chien wanted to rerlease steam because he flunk his FoM.. And there we go again.. NOOB! really love to get on people's nerve..

And also want to sincerely apologise to Chien whose car got broke in because of me.. Left my bag at the front seat.. So sorry..

What if Noob Ang Mo use BM

I find BM annoying as this language copies every word from English..

E.g Communication = komunikasi
Computer = Komputer
Sex = seks
Active = aktif

It really makes the language.......... baseless? And those idiot Datuks were saying that Malaysian youths are losing out on their culture or stuff.. But the Education Department keep copying English words to create new BM words..

What if the Ang Mo translate English directly to BM??
